Great location and facilities, rooms comfortable and well equipped. For the number of people staying the kitchen was well equipped. You can walk straight out onto the high street (Starbucks next door if you like it) and its minutes from the Cathedral and many good restThe distance from the car park to the mews is only really a problem, if you have alot of luggage etc to carry into the mews. We managed to park outside both times, but then you have to drive round the one way system to get back to the car park and walk back round again. Once unpacked however, we were fine. Also they appeared to be building a walkway form the car park straight through to the mews, but it was closed off when we stayed, Once this is open all car park issues will be resolved, so do not let this put you off staying here. Aurants.
Nothing fundamental - or that you can't live with for a few days - value for money, I would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic venue, charming location and with bright rooms. Truly enjoyed views of the cathedral and exceptionally comfortable beds. A microwave oven, coffee/tea making equipment, and a refrigerator for cooking. Setting not far from the most beautiful Cathedral, the beer garden opposite overlooking the Cathedral, and shops, restaurants and tourist attractions. Btw, located in the restaurant on all three evenings.

The enclosed courtyard area was excellent, with extremely helpful staff at the reception desk, fairly clean rooms and views of the cathedral, and a main bar on the premises.

We stayed in the self catering annex to the Swan Hotel in Wells. This was very well equipped, an excellent location and a good stay. However the car park is a walk away, some of the fixtures are starting to show their age and on the Saturday night the pub next door had a very noisy party until the early hours.

Car park long walk from mews cottage. Cottage lacked basics for self catering E.G. no cafetieire, no kitchen paper towels, only three cups so needed dishwasher to run more than once. Only one dishwasher tablet. Lacked bedside lights and main lights were in one case inadequate and very dirty.

Clean quiet and well situated in a beautiful cathedral city. We had no difficulty unloading outside the Mews and then parking at the hotel.
The beds could be more comfortable. The double was small and could do with a new mattress. The metal bunk beds in the second bedroom did creak but our kids slept fine. For the price, we had the expectation of better beds and a fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen was generally OK, had items like an ice cube holder but bizarrely no freezer unit at all. Don't bring ice cream (as we did) or goods to be frozen. Overall however a great place to stay.

Well located in centre of wells, good kitchen facilities
poor internet, no way to call reception, fire alarm went off when making toast, key stopped working during visit, next to noisy night club, could not park to drop off, parking inconvenient - short walk but long drive

The location of the hotel was perfect for our romantic escape, with beautiful views of the nearby cathedral. the staff were attentive and friendly, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. the room itself was comfortable and well-furnished, providing us with a relaxing and enjoyable experience.
The lack of parking available at the hotel, which meant we had to park in a field and walk to the hotel with our luggage. the Wi-Fi in the hotel was not working during our stay, which was a bit inconvenient.

Excellent central location, close to many local attractions. Apartment was comfortable and well equiped
Great that parking is available at the Swan Hotel although if you have alot of luggage you are better to pull up outside the apartments to drop your luggage first and then park.

The location was good.
It is a long walk from the reception to the apartment and nowhere to park. Have to park and walk along High Street carrying all of your luggage, which is OK if it isn't cold and raining and you do not have too much. Also the bunk beds in the 2nd bedroom where cheap metal type which squeaked with every movement, which kept us all awake. My son ended up having to sleeping on the sofa so the rest of us could get some sleep.

The location, right across from Wells Cathedral and easily accessible High Street, was very appealing, the cost was good value for money and the bar/restaurant were very good. For us though, the best thing about the experience was the staff who were extraordinarily helpful -- whether helping us contact our friends, arranging a rental car or recommending a restaurant. The airline lost two of our bags, and the receptionist on duty went out of her way to find us as soon as the suitcases were delivered. Having stayed in hundreds of hotels over the years I think this is probably the best customer service I've ever enjoyed!

Having a self catering apartment attached to a hotel gives you the best of both and freedom to do as you please. The quality of the apartment was better than we'd hoped for. Free WiFi was appreciated. Will certainly come back here again next time we need a hotel in Wells.
